The Westwind Agusta WW24 aircraft with registration RPC5880 was taking off for Tokyo’s Hanneda Airport with 8 people onboard, reports indicate the aircraft exploded into flames killing all 8 onboard. Those who died were an American national, a Canadian national, a flight medic, nurse and doctor, along with three flight crew.
An Antonov AN-12 crashes in Ukraine killing at least five and leaving 3 people unaccounted for. The Antonov AN-12 was operated by Ukraine Air Alliance, it had taken off without any difficulties from Vigo, Spain and was bound for Istanbul, Turkey. The aircraft was due to make a fuel stop at Lviv, Ukraine and crashed while in approach. Approximately 1.5 km from Lviv Airport, the AN-12 crashed near a cemetery and football stadium. It’s reported the aircraft vanished from radar at 07:10 local (07:10 GMT).
