An Airbus A350-1000 that was due to be delivered to British Airways has been damaged.
Airbus confirmed one of the A350-1000 destined for British Airways was involved in an incident, however the aircraft manufacturer hasn’t confirmed any details about the incident.
It is believed the aircraft was in the paint shop, when the incident occurred and has left the aircraft requiring repair, before it can be delivered to British Airways.
Airbus has assured British Airways they are working to repair and deliver the aircraft in December 2019.
British Airways said “Airbus has assured [them] that the aircraft will be fully repaired and delivered shortly.”
As a precaution British Airways has revised its Airbus A350 schedule, during January 2020 the A350 will not operate to Dubai and the flight will be operated by a Boeing 777.
